       Graduate Training

Most years there are one or two openings for qualified students interested in topics such as (but not limited to) molecular basis of neuronal communication, synaptic transmission & plasticity, and neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease.

We are very interested in students who think "Quest for knowledge is intellectually entertaining" and thus, want to have fun with science. I found that advanced fields of neuroscience are so full of excitements that you can not hang around them just for living. If you think you are one of them, I encourage you to render your hands to me. I will guide you to the last frontier for a mankind - neuroscience.

Students may directly contact me at Leed1@ohio.edu or apply through the Biological Sciences and Molecular & Cellular Biology Programs. These programs have funding opportunities that include graduate research assistantships and teaching assistantships. One or two qualified students may also be supported by extramural funds such as NIH and/or NSF grants.

Graduate Program applications are due about January 15 (for Fall admission). If you have general questions on the BIOS graduate program at Ohio University, please feel free to contact:
