Ø my CV
Associate Professor, Biological Sciences
Post-Doc. University of California, Irvine
Ph.D. 1997. University of California, Riverside
I joined Ohio University in September
of 2002 as an Assistant Professor of Molecular Neurophysiology. Before
that, I was a postdoctoral and assistant researcher in
the laboratory of
Dr. O’Dowd at UC Irvine. I earned my
doctorate in Entomology/Neuroscience from University of California,
Riverside (Ph.D. mentor:
Dr. M.E. Adams).
My research focus is
to understand molecular and cellular mechanisms underlying neuronal
communication in the brain. In particular, I would like to elucidate the
functional roles of genes and signaling pathways in regulating
neurotransmitter release. I also aims to study neurological disorders
caused by the disruption of synaptic communication.
