Endocrinology (BIOS 450/550)
Students: senior undergraduates and first year graduate students. A team-taught course with one other faculty member, from 1991-1995.

Physiology of Work and Fatigue I, II, III

(BIOS 720) Students: graduate students. A seminar course that has covered three topics: I. the limiting metabolic, cardiovascular, and thermoregulatory factors in long term aerobic work; II. the acute and chronic cardiovascular, bioenergetic, and immunologic responses to aerobic work as they are affected by adrenal and sympathetic activation and energy availability; and III. the metabolic factors limiting prolonged exercise. All three courses rely heavily upon the reading of reviews and publications of original research. 1990-present.

Advanced Exercise Physiology. (BIOS 650)

Students: first year graduate students. A team-taught course with four other faculty members in which we each lecture on our own research interests. 1990-1998.

Physiology of Exercise. (BIOS 445/545)

Students: undergraduates. An introductory course. 1989.

The Respiratory System.

Students: second year medical students. A team-taught course with physicians. I taught the physiology portion of the course. 1989-1995.

Medical Physiology.

Students: first year medical students. A team taught course with five other faculty members. I taught the respiratory physiology portion of the course. 1989-95.
