The Biological Sciences department provides up-to-date technology for computer-based and computer-assisted learning. We have one computer lab (Irvine 044), and many classrooms featuring Dell Computers. The lab features many standard applications that are found across campus as well as networked printing and 2 machines running Linux. Classrooms are equipped with computers containing course specific software as well as campus standard software. In all classrooms, instructors can display their computer screen through an LCD projector (ceiling-mounted). All of our computers (unless otherwise noted) are fully networked with fast connections to the Internet and printers. A “dropbox” is setup for students and faculty who need a quick place to store a file.
